Devimpath at the GBV Roundtable – Abuja.
Devimpath was represented by Regina Ebhodaghe and Rosemary Okoye who joined government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and community actors at the Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable on GBV Prevention organized by CEPASD in Abuja (24 March 2026), facilitated by Mrs. Glory Amarachi Otuojor.

The session highlighted critical gaps in funding, coordination, and survivor support, reinforcing the need for stronger laws and collective, community-driven action.
We remain committed to advancing GBV prevention through partnerships, advocacy, and inclusive programming.

💧 World Water Day 2026: A Statement from Devimpath

At Devimpath, we believe that a girl’s right to learn should never be compromised by a lack of clean water or a private place to manage her hygiene.

Today, as the world celebrates World Water Day under the theme "Water and Gender," we shine a light on the invisible barriers within our school systems. For millions of girls, the "gender gap" in education starts at the water pump. When schools lack gender-segregated toilets and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) facilities, girls don't just lose dignity, they lose days of learning. Research shows that girls can miss up to 5 days of school every month due to inadequate WASH facilities, leading to higher dropout rates and diminished life opportunities.

Devimpath has been a part of advocacy for gender responsive WASH policies that ensure that women and girls are not just beneficiaries, but leaders in water governance and also contributed to establishing School WASH Clubs to drive behavioral change among school children.

We believe that where water flows with dignity, equality grows in the classroom.

Our call to action!!

We call on governments, development partners, and community leaders to join Devimpath in three critical actions:
1. Prioritize Gender-Responsive Infrastructure: It is not enough to build a toilet; we must build safe, private, and accessible spaces that cater to the specific needs of girls and female teachers.
2. Invest in "Software," not just "Hardware": We urge stakeholders to fund hygiene education and MHM programs. Infrastructure fails without the knowledge and community support to maintain it.
3. Include Women in Water Governance: We call for the formal inclusion of women and adolescent girls in school management committees. Those who bear the burden of water collection must have a seat at the table where water decisions are made.

At DevImpact, we remain committed to supporting and empowering women and girls by creating opportunities, building capacity, and amplifying their voices in development spaces. When women are empowered, communities thrive and nations grow stronger.
Let’s continue to champion equality, uplift one another, and create pathways for the next generation of women leaders.

✨ Empowered women empower the world.

Our Executive Director speaks about participating in the 12th Plenary Session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Manchester UK.

The 12th session of the IPBES Plenary (IPBES-12) held in Manchester, UK, in February 2026, approved a landmark Business and Biodiversity Assessment Report. This report highlights that, while over half of global GDP is highly dependent on nature, current business models often drive biodiversity loss, urging urgent, transformative changes in corporate, financial, and policy sectors to halt this trend
