IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
Our Inclusive Parenting Workshop has been POSTPONED till further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please stay tuned for the new date!

Today marks the final day of the #16daysofactivism Against Gender-Based Violence, and at Data-Lead Africa and Deaf-In-Tech, we raise our voice once more for a cause that cannot be ignored.

This year’s theme “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress” calls us to build a world where safety, dignity, and justice include everyone, especially persons with disabilities who often face layered harm and limited access to support.

Throughout this campaign, we have added our voice at different moments amplifying the message that GBV is not always visible, and that survivors often carry their pain in silence. The video shared today reflects this truth.

It begins with a smile, a familiar mask many survivors wear.
But as the camera draws closer, we see something deeper, the quiet ache behind the eyes, the heaviness that laughter cannot hide.

Because pain hides well. And silence is loud.
Many survivors, particularly those within disability communities, stay silent not because the violence is small, but because:

• they fear not being believed
• they fear stigma
• they fear losing support or independence
• they fear retaliation
• they fear being dismissed or misunderstood

This silent pain is real. And it deserves attention, protection, and action.

As this year’s global campaign comes to an end, our commitment does not.
At Data-Lead Africa and Deaf-In-Tech, we remain dedicated to

• amplifying marginalized voices
• strengthening data-driven advocacy
• supporting inclusive systems
• building communities where every person regardless of ability is safe, heard, and protected.

Ending GBV requires all of us. We will keep speaking, believing, and acting until every voice is safe, every story is heard, and every life is valued.

The Deaf-In-Tech Team joins the world in commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Every year, this day gives us a moment to pause, reflect, and reaffirm our commitment to building a world where accessibility isn’t an afterthought, it’s the standard.

This year’s theme, “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” is a powerful reminder that true inclusion goes beyond awareness. It’s about creating spaces, tools, opportunities, and communities where everyone, Deaf, disabled, hearing, non-disabled can succeed without limitations.

For us at , this isn’t just a theme. It’s our daily work, our passion, and our promise.
From empowering Deaf individuals with digital skills to advocating for equal access in tech, we stand proudly with millions around the world today.

Here’s to a future where barriers fall, voices rise, and inclusion becomes the norm, not the exception.💜🤟🏾

As the world marks against Gender-Based Violence, the 2025 global call to to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls reminds us that safety, dignity, and respect must extend to every space, including accessible communication.

Deaf women face compounded risks, communication barriers, limited access to support, exclusion from digital safety tools, and higher rates of emotional, physical, and sexual violence. These barriers not only put Deaf women at greater risk but also make it harder for them to report abuse, access justice, or seek help when they need it most.

To truly end violence, we must break these barriers and build inclusion by:
Integrating accessible reporting systems like VRS and TTY.
Ensuring Sign-Language interpreters in police, legal, and medical settings.
Training frontline workers in Deaf culture and trauma-sensitive response.
Designing digital safety tools that are inclusive of Deaf users.

This , let us move beyond awareness and take action to dismantle exclusion and ensure safety for all. Equality is a right, not a privilege
