During our monitoring visit to the ongoing Mobil–Obasanjo Complex Overhead Bridge in Minna, we engaged the on-site supervisor, who confirmed that the project is being executed by China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) under the supervision of the Niger State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Development.
From our observations, construction is moving steadily with major structural components already in place, including the bridge beams and deck structure.
Once completed, this overhead bridge is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion and improve movement for residents and commuters using the corridor daily.
Indeed, infrastructure that works for the people must also be monitored by the people. We remain committed in tracking public projects and promoting accountability every step of the way.

During our monitoring visits to some Primary Health Care facilities in Lafia, Nasarawa State, we observed severe staffing shortages, dilapidated structures, poor electricity supply, limited bed spaces, and little to no access to essential medicines.
In some facilities, patients were forced to return home for treatment because there were not enough bed spaces to accommodate them. Meanwhile, health workers and student nurses continue to carry the burden of a system struggling to serve its people.
Primary health care centres are meant to save lives at the community level. Right now in Ungwar Rere, Akurba and Kauri communities, too many Nigerians are being failed by it.
We call on the government of Nasarawa State to prioritise stronger investments in PHCs to protect maternal and child health across these communities.

We visited Government Day Science College (GDSC), Tunga, Minna, to monitor ongoing rehabilitation works, and the story is one of both improvement and gaps that cannot be ignored.
School officials shared that the institution had long struggled with deteriorating buildings and limited government support. A previously installed borehole was reportedly removed, leaving students without a reliable water source. Some classroom blocks are still in poor condition, and staff and administrative spaces remain inadequate.
An intervention led by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, popularly known as 313, is underway, bringing developments like classroom renovations, laboratory and staff room complex/facilities.
Development is not just about starting projects; it’s about finishing them well.
We’ll keep tracking this project to ensure it delivers conducive learning environment for students of GDSC Tunga.

On June 30, 2025, the Honourable Minister of Works declared the Suleja–Minna Road (Phase 1) an Emergency Project, according to a press release published on the Federal Ministry of Works website on June 30th 2025. fmw.gov.ng/read/3318
More than 7 months later, the road remains in a deplorable state, unsafe, neglected, and far from the urgency that an “Emergency Project” demands.
Honourable Minister. Honourable Governor.
This is the current reality faced daily by road users on the Suleja–Minna Road.
