How We Wrote “Why Every Event Host Needs A Ticketing Platform Like Tixvnt”.
When the CEO of Tixvnt reached out, he wanted a blog post that would position them as the go-to ticketing platform for event organisers in Nigeria.
Here’s exactly how we approached it:
1. RESEARCH PHASE: We started by studying Tixvnt’s platform, their features, user experience, and what made them stand out.
Then we checked competitor platforms like Eventbrite and Ticket9ja to understand what they were doing differently.
The goal was to find the story angle that makes Tixvnt unique.
2. IDENTIFY THE CORE MESSAGE: From our research, we realised Tixvnt wasn’t just selling tickets. They were helping organisers build experiences and manage crowds better.
That became the core of the post, “Tixvnt goes beyond ticketing.”
3. OUTLINE THE STRUCTURE: We outlined the post in 4 parts:
→ The problem event organisers face.
→ Why existing ticketing platforms frustrate them.
→ How Tixvnt solves these pain points.
→ Why they should make the switch.
4. WRITE FOR ONE READER: We wrote as if we were speaking to a stressed event organiser planning a big conference. That kept the tone natural, persuasive, and conversational.
5. EDIT AND OPTIMISE: After writing, we ensured the article included the right SEO keywords without stuffing. The goal was clarity, not confusion.
6. THE RESULT: When we submitted the draft, the client said, “You captured exactly what we’ve been trying to say in our exact voice.”
That feedback alone was enough to know the post worked. We even made a post about his reaction, you can go check it out.
Take home these lessons from our experience:
Every strong piece of content has a system; research, clarity, emotion, and structure.
If you’re a founder, brand owner, or startup, stop posting random content and start building a strategy.
If you want a content strategy or article that truly positions your brand as the go-to solution, send us a message today and let’s write your brand story right.

Do you plan to host a TEDx or corporate event in 2026?
If yes, stop scrolling and read this post.

Here’s something we’ve learnt working closely with Nigeria’s leading ticketing platform Tixvnt.
When you’re preparing for a TEDx or any large-scale corporate or tech event, your biggest headache shouldn’t be managing tickets, attendance, or payments.
It should be curating the experience itself and that’s where TIXVNT comes in.
As the creative writer working with this SaaS brand, we’ve seen firsthand how much easier it becomes when you use a system that goes beyond selling tickets.
From event creation to real-time attendee management, branding support, and smooth check-ins, TIXVNT makes professional events look effortless.
If you’re serious about hosting your next big event, especially a TEDx experience, TIXVNT should be the first name that comes to your mind.
We recently wrote an article explaining why you should use TIXVNT for your next event, it’s a must-read for every organiser who wants to scale beyond average.

We’re currently working with a CEO who surprised us on our first day.
He said, “How was your night?” “Hope you’re good.”
Simple questions, but you could feel the warmth behind them.
After our first interview, we got qualified for the Content Writer role in his company.
During the second interview, he introduced us to the rest of the team, the social media manager, the graphic designer, the front-end web developer, and others.
Our job as the content writing team is to craft their weekly blog articles and newsletters for subscribers.
It’s a long-term role, and truthfully, we’re glad we took it.
From this experience, we’ve learned that good clients won’t stress you. They won’t micromanage or treat you like you’re disposable. They’ll value your input because they understand you’re not just writing words, you’re helping their company grow.
So, when we sent the first draft, he replied with a voice note that lasted over three minutes. You could hear the excitement in his tone.
We transcribed it, and in his exact words, he said:
"Good morning, Mercy, and I hope you slept well last night.
So, I really appreciate the work you did.
In fact, while I was going through it this morning again, I was really like mind-blown about how you were writing like I would have written.
You really did well. I was not even expecting to think of using this content as an actual blog post. I just wanted to see how you can write, but the writing is good, like it’s good enough for an actual blog post.
We should be able to publish it for this week. Yeah, you really did well. I’m really impressed with what I saw.
So yeah, I really loved the write-up. Thank you."
In all honesty, clients like this remind us that they need us as much as we need them.
If he decides to extend our contract, we’d gladly accept without hesitation.
So here’s our message to every writer, freelancer, and creative reading this, go where you’re valued.
The right people will always treat you right.
Have you ever had a good or bad client experience before? Share your story in the comments; we’d love to hear it.

This week, many of you who applied for jobs will move to the next phase, the “physical or virtual interview.”
As job seekers and freelancers, we don’t skip this part.
We’re not exempt. In fact, this stage often determines everything.
You may have written the most detailed proposal, designed the most stunning portfolio, or submitted a perfectly tailored CV, but the moment that “interview” begins, the game changes.
What most people don’t talk about is that every freelancer goes through phases before that moment of truth and each phase reveals a different version of you.
→ Phase 1: The Application Glow
You’re confident. You hit “send” with so much hope.
You imagine how it would feel to finally get that “We’d love to speak with you” message.
Then the email comes in and your heart races.
This is your moment.
→ Phase 2: The Waiting Game
Between that reply and the scheduled interview date lies anxiety, excitement, and a bit of doubt.
You start questioning your answers, your tone, your CV layout, in fact everything.
This is the mental test that filters out many before the real test even begins.
→ Phase 3: The Interview Table
If it’s a Zoom call or a physical office, this is where your presence speaks louder than your words.
Your confidence, tone, storytelling and your ability to translate your skills into a human connection.
That’s what sells you not just your resume.
→ Phase 4: The Reflection
After the interview, silence can feel heavy.
You replay the conversation in your head:
“Did I sound nervous?”
“Should I have mentioned that project?”
This is where growth happens.
It’s where you learn that every interview, be it good or bad is a mirror showing you what to improve.
Let me shock you. Do you know that even the best freelancers lose opportunities at the interview stage, not because they’re not skilled, but because they didn’t understand that interviews are not about perfection but about connection?
So if you’ve ever left an interview feeling crushed or uncertain, you’re not alone.
We’ve all been there.
I’ve written a full article to help you ace your next interview with confidence, clarity, and calm especially if you’re a freelancer trying to land your next big client or remote role.
The link to the article is in the comments section.
Now tell me, have you ever had a bad interview experience before?
What happened? Let’s talk about it. Someone might learn from your story.

When I was in JSS 2, our PHE teacher yelled at us saying, “Charge forward!”
I didn’t know what it meant but I ran towards him, obeying his instructions like something was chasing me.
I didn’t stop until I crossed that finish line and everyone started clapping.
That was the day I got the nickname “Charger.”
I carried that word "charge" like a badge of honour.
Until one day, many years later, I was sitting at the hospital reception with a nylon bag full of medications and my cousin laid on the bed in the female ward.
The nurse looked at me and said, “We’ll have to charge you extra for the night.”
I blinked, smiled and nodded but as I walked out, I went out to withdraw some money just to cover that charge.
It was the same word my PHE teacher used many years ago but this time around it had a different weight.
Still, it didn’t stop there.
A few years later, in a court filled with quiet tension and overworked fans, 10 year old boy stood inside the dock shaking.
He had stolen bread, not out of greed but hunger and the judge looked down from his seat and said: “You are being charged with theft.”
That word again, "Charge".
These were 3 different moments with 3 different meanings but it was the same word.
That is what we call POLYSEMY.
POLYSEMY is when one word carries multiple, related meanings depending on the context.
The English language is wild like that and very dynamic.
One word can hold victory, grief, and justice all in its chest.
It’s not just grammar.
It’s how you say what you mean and how the world receives it.
If you’re a writer, business owner, or brand trying to speak with depth, then you need to understand the power of words like this. You have to understand not just what they say, but how many things they can mean.
Sometimes, the same word that saved you, might be the same word that breaks someone else.
What other words do you know that practice POLYSEMY? Drop them in the comments section.

The most dangerous rule you can live by is the one society wrote for you.
That single line has shaped how I see life. It reminds me that life isn’t a checklist. It’s a canvas, and you get to decide what colours to splash on it.
Let me ask you a few questions.
How do you watch movies?
Do you watch them for fun?
To entertain yourself?
To pass time?
Or to find the hidden lessons in it?
For me, movies are more than entertainment. I watch them with intention.
Some years back, I watched a high school American musical. It was colourful, lively and fun. The kind of movie you’d enjoy and quickly forget but I didn’t forget.
I took something with me.
A quote that has lived with me till today.
The picture says it all.
Those words are more than just a line from a script. They remind me daily that life is exactly what you make of it.
You don’t need to be the smartest in the room.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
What you need is belief. An unshakable belief in yourself.
That is how you turn ideas into impact.
That is how you build a business, a brand, a career that feels like you.
Rules may keep you safe, but belief is what makes you unstoppable.
So if life really is a canvas, what colour are you painting with right now?
What’s your favourite quote that keeps you pushing?
Share it in the comments. Someone here might just need it today.

I’ll never forget the day when I was first paid for doing something I loved, ''Writing".
To be honest, I didn’t set out to become “The InkQueen.”
Back in 2015, I was just writing for fun. I shared throwback stories of my funny secondary school experiences.
I wrote short stories, random reflections and posts to make people laugh.
Infact, everybody always looked forward to Thursdays because it was on those days I shared my throwback stories.
It wasn’t strategy or planned. It was my pure love for words.
Fast forward to 2020, during the lockdown I got my first writing gig for a news publishing hub.
The day I withdrew the total money I earned for writing for the publishing hub, I was paid ₦9,000+.
That moment changed everything because it was no longer “just writing.”
It became service and impact.
Since then, I haven’t turned my back.
-> I’ve written for founders, executives, and brands who needed their stories told in a way that moves people.
-> I’ve ghostwritten words that built authority for people who once struggled to find theirs.
-> I’ve seen businesses go from invisible to unforgettable through the power of intentional writing.
That’s why I believe personal branding isn’t about being loud.
It’s about being clear and knowing who you are, what you stand for, and letting your words carry that truth to the people who need it.
So here’s my simple message for you today.
If you’re building a brand in 2026, don’t underestimate the power of your story because your story is your authority.
What part of your own story do you think the world needs to hear but you’ve been hiding?
Share this to someone who needs to read this post.

5 writing red flags that turn clients off (and how to fix them)
People don’t ghost you because of your price.
They ghost you because of your positioning.
Here’s how your content may be silently sabotaging your brand:
🚩 Long captions that confuse instead of connect.
🚩 Bios that say nothing about your actual offer.
🚩 Talking to your audience, not at them.
🚩 Using buzzwords nobody understands.
🚩 Not having a clear CTA (call to action).
At The InkQueen, we fix all of these through:
✔ Storytelling
✔ Clear structure
✔ Service-led writing
Let’s rewrite your brand’s story in a way that connects and converts. Send a message to us now.
