“When we win, people say I’m doing a good job… and so if we don’t win or we don’t get results, then lot of it’s 100% on me”.

“So I accept that and I’m not hiding away from any of that”.

“𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬. We want to win and want to win quickly. The next game is Sunday. That’s all I’m thinking about right now, as the only focus I mantain”.

“I totally understand the feelings of the supporters. We’ll have to accept it — I totally accept it and I take full responsibility”.

“It’s on me ultimately: as a team what we look like as how we play and what results you get. I take that, we move forward”.

Olu is questioning the Super Eagles' decision to face Russia in their latest friendly.

Nigeria's last set of international friendlies included Russia, Iran, Poland and Portugal - and while Poland and Portugal were the kind of opposition Olu wants to see more of, he questions whether the NFF is actively seeking those tier-one matchups.

And then there's the bigger question: who is actually reaching out to who? .

Olu suspects the Portugal fixture may have been driven more by the Portuguese side than the NFF.
For a Super Eagles side trying to raise its level, should we be demanding stronger opposition every time we get the chance?

This sequence reminded me of the United we saw towards the end of last season.

10+ passes from the back before Cunha was stopped at the end.
We barely saw United play like this again in the derby.

They play like they got all the time in the world the amount of time they got tackled while stood still was embarrassing
