DSTV is on mind today.
Sometime ago, when DSTV adjusted their subscription rates upwards, they told me that if I can lock-in my current subscription rate and not allow it to expire, that I will maintain the rate. I did this without fail for more than 15 months.
When I tried to renew my subscription in April, I noticed that my subscription rate had been reviewed upwards. They now said I should pay and lock-in an amount, N3,500 more than what I was paying before, otherwise, I will start paying N15,700.

Because of this, I have decided to suspend my DSTV subscription indefinitely, So Help Me God.

UNDERSTANDING BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES:

This type of battery offers several advantages such as flexibility in size and shape, low profile design, and low weight. Li-polymer batteries also have a high energy density and a long cycle life. However, Li-polymer batteries have some disadvantages such as high cost, safety issues, and they require protection circuits to maintain their voltage and prevent overcharging or discharging.

Li-Fe-PO4 batteries, also known as lithium iron phosphate batteries, are a type of Li-ion battery that uses an iron phosphate cathode. This type of battery offers several advantages such as high safety, long cycle life, and a relatively low cost compared to other Li-ion batteries. Li-Fe-PO4 batteries also have a low self-discharge rate and can operate over a wide range of temperatures. However, Li-Fe-PO4 batteries have a lower energy density compared to other Li-ion batteries, which means they can store less energy in the same physical space.

In summary, the best battery system for a particular application depends on the specific requirements of that application. Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries are suitable for applications that require high energy density and long cycle life, while Li-Fe-PO4 batteries are suitable for applications that require high safety and a relatively low cost.
