ANNOUNCEMENT: Notice of Planned Power Outage: June 10-14, 2025:

YEDC has hust announced that there will be a power outage affecting parts of Adamawa, Borno, Taraba and Yobe States from 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will undertake major works on the Jos-Gombe 330kV and Jos-Bauchi-Gombe 132kV transmission lines, involving the installation of new towers at the Bauchi 330kV station and the crossing of the existing 132kV line. During this time, Damaturu, Molai, Yola, and Jalingo injection substations will be out of supply.

Biu will be supplied from alternative sources, namely the Dadi Kowa Hydro plant, while Baga Road substation in Maiduguri will be back-fed from MEPP. Nguru, Machina and environs will also be fed through the 33kv Nguru feeder.

Please note that this is a TCN-led activity and YEDC is working in alignment to support the ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening the regional transmission network. Normal supply will be promptly restored upon confirmation that the work is completed.
