Absolutely ✅

People don’t realize how expensive it is to be poor…

Very, very expensive!

Let’s paint a simple picture:

Someone struggling financially buys 5 cups of rice every 2 days for ₦2,000.

Meanwhile, another person buys a whole bag for ₦80,000.

Now do the math:
Over time, that first person ends up spending over ₦100,000 for the same quantity of rice!

Poverty forces people to pay more for less, just to survive daily.

It's not just about money — it's a cycle that punishes the most vulnerable for not having enough in the first place.

Now,

📌 Let’s break it down:

👗 The low-income earner buys a cheap dress for ₦4,000 — poorly stitched, low-quality fabric. After 2–3 washes, it fades, the seams tear, and they’re back at the market.
They end up buying the same type of dress 5 times in a year. That’s ₦20,000 gone.

👗 Someone else buys a custom-made, quality outfit for ₦18,000 once — durable, classic, long-lasting.
Still wearing it confidently the following year.

📌 Same thing with shoes:
The poor buy “affordable” flats for ₦3,500 every 2 months because they peel or break. That’s over ₦20,000 a year.
A better-made ₦12,000 pair could’ve lasted the whole year — or two!

📌 Or wigs:
Buy ₦5,000 synthetic wigs 6 times a year? That’s ₦30,000.
Invest once in a ₦25,000 quality wig — you’re good for a long while.

Moral of the story?

Poverty is expensive.
It forces people to “manage” until they end up spending more for less.
That’s why empowerment and financial access matter — because true savings lie in quality, not constant replacement.
