Our country is not a rescue mission; it is a construction site. No external cavalry, no rich benefactor, no global superpower, no sudden commodity boom is coming to do the heavy lifting.

Many developing nations have succumbed to the notion that solutions to domestic challenges can only be sourced internationally.
