A passionate Team dB collaborated to conceptualise, design and execute a dynamic once-off show for a Namibian icon, working alongside the National Theatre of Namibia and Elemotho Management.

’Elemotho Live In Concert’ drew a full house at the NTN, with the performances and crowd energy making for a special evening to remember.

Today was Wellness Day at the dB warehouse. Team members received personal check-ups and advice from NAMMED, checking in on our physical health and helping us prepare for the crunch months ahead.

The Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA) recently hosted its Event Safety Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, bringing together professionals from the entertainment, sports, and corporate event sectors to engage with the full spectrum of safety, security, and health considerations in live events. Through a mix of presentations, panels, and hands-on workshops, the Summit offered practical, real-world insights while giving attendees the chance to connect with peers and reaffirm their shared commitment to making safety a top priority across the events and entertainment industry.

At its core, the Summit aims to unite every role involved in delivering safe events, creating a space where knowledge can be exchanged and lessons learned from one another.

Our Projects Champion, Char-Ann Barmann, attended the two-day event in Johannesburg as a reflection of our ongoing commitment to building a compliant, safe, and healthy events sector in Namibia that measures up to international standards.

Reflecting on Mediatech Africa 2026, the continent's largest trade exhibition for professional audiovisual, broadcast, media, and live event technology, a core team from dB Audio Namibia attended to explore the latest technology, network strategically, and proudly fly the Namibian flag.

“Restoring Our Namibian Pride In Service Excellence” was the theme of the Namibia Customer Care & Effective Service Delivery Conference 2026, which provided valuable insights into customer experience, effective communication, and service excellence, while creating opportunities to learn from industry experts and connect with professionals who share a commitment to delivering meaningful client experiences.

Kelsey Jacobs, our Projects Champion, and Kadeescha du Plessis, our Client Service Champion, were in attendance for Team dB, in line with our core belief that exceptional service is just as important as exceptional technical delivery.

A core team from dB Audio Namibia recently attended an insightful session on media trends, hosted by Future Media.

The presentations highlighted how dramatically environments can change in a short period. Examples included shifts in smartphone brands, banking competitors, and fuel station brands, demonstrating that no individual or organization can assume that their environment will remain unchanged.

"A key takeaway was that while technology and AI are transforming how we communicate, understanding people still remains critically important. Markets change rapidly, but trust, connection, and human behavior remain at the heart of effective communication," says Anna Lamek from Team dB.

It has become the norm for the dB Audio Namibia warehouse to be abuzz with learning and development activities on most mornings between projects.

As part of the company’s commitment to continuous professional growth, the team regularly engages Carol Millward to facilitate English development sessions.

Carol, a freelance Social Life Skills facilitator and long-time friend of dB Audio Namibia, is passionate about empowering others through improved language proficiency.

“I have always been passionate about sharing the skill of English, and I have firsthand evidence of how improving one’s English can change one’s life,” says Carol.

“The lessons are really opening my mind and I’m learning a lot, and I appreciate the effort and energy that Carol brings to the sessions”, adds Team member Durinawa.

"Ladies First – Namibian Voices, Global Language," was the theme of International Jazz Day in Windhoek is celebrated on 30 April 2026 at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre, led globally by Unesco Namibia and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.

Unesco proclaimed April 30 as International Jazz Day in November 2011 to highlight jazz as a universal language of peace, freedom, and intercultural dialogue. It celebrates the genre's role in promoting human rights, democracy, fostering creativity, and bridging cultures worldwide, particularly for its power to unite people and break down social barriers.
