Ongoing Development.
It has become the norm for the dB Audio Namibia warehouse to be abuzz with learning and development activities on most mornings between projects.
As part of the company’s commitment to continuous professional growth, the team regularly engages Carol Millward to facilitate English development sessions.
Carol, a freelance Social Life Skills facilitator and long-time friend of dB Audio Namibia, is passionate about empowering others through improved language proficiency.
“I have always been passionate about sharing the skill of English, and I have firsthand evidence of how improving one’s English can change one’s life,” says Carol.
“The lessons are really opening my mind and I’m learning a lot, and I appreciate the effort and energy that Carol brings to the sessions”, adds Team member Durinawa.

For the love of live music.
"Ladies First – Namibian Voices, Global Language," was the theme of International Jazz Day in Windhoek is celebrated on 30 April 2026 at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre, led globally by Unesco Namibia and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.
Unesco proclaimed April 30 as International Jazz Day in November 2011 to highlight jazz as a universal language of peace, freedom, and intercultural dialogue. It celebrates the genre's role in promoting human rights, democracy, fostering creativity, and bridging cultures worldwide, particularly for its power to unite people and break down social barriers.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed and thrived on the technical ex*****on of this live music exposé.

Participants from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, including musicians, sound engineers, creative directors, stage technology freelancers, and an ethnomusicologist, joined our Music Production & Technical Implementation Workshop on Monday, 20 April, backstage at the National Theatre of Namibia.
During the workshop, Nils Holtar - an Interactive Audio Specialist and co-founder of Interactive Tapes, provided an overview of music design methodologies, highlighting key concepts such as investigation, integration, implementation, ideation, automation, and simulation. He also shared personal experiences and professional philosophies.
“The workshop was a welcome exposure to the connection between interactive media and music in the context of video games, something we haven’t seen in Namibia, and everyone left feeling very inspired,” says David Arthur Beukes, who attended and was instrumental in organising the workshop.
Thank you to all dB team members and stakeholders who contributed.

As Namibia, the Land of the Brave, celebrates our 36th year of Independence, we throw back to when Team dB invited the reigning Miss Namibia to visit us recently. Johanna Swartbooi presented a special masterclass aimed at helping our team understand how personal branding can serve as an invaluable tool for both personal and professional actualisation.
Drawing from her lived experience, Johanna offered authentic insight into building confidence, presence, and purpose from a place of authenticity - qualities that resonate far beyond the stage and into personal lives and the workplace.
