Watching my father take his oath as Minister in the Presidency on Thursday was an out of body experience. So many years of discipline. Years of quiet sacrifice. A lifetime of perseverance unfolding in real time.

He leaned over and whispered the news to me before it was announced… as usual, I abandoned elegance for excitement and screamed 😂 Because how do you stay composed when you’re watching your father’s hard work be recognized at the highest level?!

As proud as I am, my heart quietly thinks of my mother. I know she would've unapologetically been the loudest in the room. I wish she was physically here to see this. I wish she could have stood beside us in that room. But I know her kindess, her strength, and her love have been guiding him, especially these past few years.

You don’t become a man of this stature without a woman who once poured an infinite amount of greatness into you. She lives in him.

Dad, you built my mind. You raised me to be intellectual, to understand the power of knowledge, to value discipline and resilience. Everything I am; my love for knowledge, my confidence, my depth & my strength, carry your fingerprints. To be your daughter is an honor I will never take lightly.

I am also deeply grateful to Her Excellency, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, for entrusting him with this responsibility and for the dignity and warmth she extended to our family in that moment. ❤️💙💚 🇳🇦
