Hi All..
This is a new residence (Well 90% new) I am working on for a lovely couple in Windhoek.
They wanted to combine some contemporary and traditional elements in one design.
Naturally this makes one straddle a fine line, but I think they and their lovely children will enjoy this for years to come.

Interesting
concept I am working on in collaboration with C.D.H Architects, Stellenbosch,
South Africa.
In the late 1800's many cotton mills in the South of U.S.A started closing down
for various reasons. One being economical and other due to some bad stigma's
attached to those industries in those days...(Child labor, low wages etc.)
Subsequently they litter the South, specifically South Carolina.
I was approached by the aforementioned firm to assist them in blowing live back
into one such mill in the town of Anderson, SC.
This will become a market where anyone from the county can come and sell their goods and have a great time while doing so. The local community will also get a
healthy injection of revenue from such a venture.
Let's hold thumbs that this can become a reality in the not so distant future.

Being the son of a father that went from marathon athlete to finding himself completely infirm due to the devastating effects of Parkinson’s disease, I have become particularly sensitive to the needs of those in need and our elderly.
Therefore, when I was approached by a client in Windhoek and asked to assist in the realization of her vision to create a center for just such individuals and groups, I jumped at the opportunity.
As usual, one starts with a completely blank canvas.
In this case an empty premises. The requirements were quite particular and had to conform to MoHSS requirements.
I had loads of fun doing the design, look and feel as well as technical drawings, especially since I know that even though my dad is in another country, I can possibly in my own way make the life of someone else’s parent a little easier.
I can’t show you all the technical data here but at least you can see the space as we envisaged it from the outset.
