A two-week sign language training is currently underway in Windhoek, supported by the and the , to strengthen inclusive communication and service delivery for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing, especially survivors of gender-based violence.

The training, conducted by the CSO Response Action-Based Organisation, brings together Khomas Region police officers and social workers from the Ministry of Health and Social Services. The Level 2 training focuses on strengthening practical communication skills to ensure effective interaction with persons who are deaf or hard of hearing in service delivery settings.

UNFPA in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Namibia and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare (MGECW) has launched a 10-day Training of Trainers (ToT) in Swakopmund focused on the Gender Responsive Planning and Budgeting (GRPB) curriculum.

The training brings together key stakeholders from the Parliament of Namibia, the Office of the Prime Minister, and the Ministry of Finance. T

hese officials are working to ensure that national public resources are strategically allocated to address the specific needs of women, men, girls, and boys, strengthening gender-responsive public finance management across all government sectors.

UNFPA Namibia had the privilege of hosting mental health advocate and resilience strategist Emmil Alex Gomachab at UN House today.

His research, "Phenomenological Exploration of Psychosocial Challenges in Emerging Adult Males: Absent Father and Emerging Adulthood in Khorixas," is an eye-opener. It highlights the real struggles associated with father absence and the need for stronger family support, positive role models, and accessible mental health services.

Today, stakeholders gathered to validate the draft National Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Strategic Plan (2027/28–2031/2032).
