We are currently considering the possibility of taking Amani down to the Bazaruto archipelago. There appears to be a market for the kind of services that Amani's unique abilities can provide, between Vilankulo, Inhassoro, Benguerra, Bazaruto and Mararuque islands.
She has a shallow draft (1 meter), and can carry up to 60 tons of cargo, 19,000 liters of diesel fuel in integral cargo tanks. Potential clients are requested to comment here, or e-mail: [email protected]

Amani is currently awaiting further information on the direction of movement of Tropical Cyclone Fantala, a cat 5 Very Intense Cyclone presently off the Northern tip of Madagascar. Once we get the all-clear we will set off to Medjumbe and Matemo Islands.

Just a few interesting stats for the last 6 months of operation: Amani ran for 508 Hours, traveling 2032 nautical miles, and burned a total of 22 tons of diesel - whilst carrying 1031 tons of cargo. This is excellent utilization of this vessel, and we hope to continue along this vein in the next 6 months.
