Colina Verde was constructed on top of a dune and so wonderfully positioned that although we have 360 degree views of the beach, dunes and bush surrounding us; the house can almost never be seen from the near by beaches or roads. You truly are immersed in nature with all the comforts of private, luxury travel.

Not only were all the building materials needed to build Colina Verde transported by Dhow, but so are all our food and beverages, maintenance supplies and anything else we may need to give our guests a memorable experience.

Our guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a piece of Mozambique culture by enjoying a tranquil, picturesque Dhow trip on the Santa Maria bay.

How to get to Colina Verde? After flying into Maputo International Airport we have three options for your transfer to the pristine, remote shores of Machangulo.

The first option is to take a breathtakingly beautiful 20minute helicopter flight from the airport, landing on our landing pad just minutes from the property.

The second option is a 1hr15min speedboat across the Maputo Bay, passing the picturesque island of Inhaca and arriving on the crystal shores of Machangulo where our team will meet you to drive 10minutes to Colina Verde.

The third option if traveling from a Safari location in South Africa is to fly via a private charter, clear customs, and land at the Machangulo airstrip which is a beautiful, 20minute forest drive to the villa.
