Six months after our company registration, we were looking into building our prototype that we would take to the various insurance companies for partnerships. Resources were not as cheap online and the need to refine our business model and our go-to-market strategy for the B2C part of the business was just not aligned.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation with the Startup Program, helped us over 12-weeks to refine our business model, which ended up being one of the participants for the Business Model World Record at Guinness World Records. Today that prototype is growing towards its 5K clients and partnered with the MNOs and various distribution channels in Mozambique. It now has affiliated 5 SME business and diversifying into promoting informal traders into an insurance marketplace, that makes their lives and their hard-earned resources protected for any mishap. We have given the first ever, food insurance product and we are also going to break another record by being the first insurtech in the world to offer option-based-insurance-as-a-service.
