PARCERIAS ÁFRICA EUROPA PARA A CULTURA

As Parcerias África Europa para a Cultura constituem um programa financiado pela União Europeia no valor de 30 milhões de euros, implementado pelo Goethe Institut, Expertise France, Institut Français, UNESCO e EUNIC Global.

Através de três componentes distintos que abrangem todo o ecossistema das artes e da cultura, o programa AECP redefine a cooperação cultural, o intercâmbio, a cocriação e a disseminação no interior de África e entre África e Europa, promovendo simultaneamente o diálogo intercultural e a compreensão mútua.

Desenvolvido em colaboração com artistas e profissionais da cultura da África Subsaariana, o programa garante que as vozes africanas permanecem centrais em todas as fases da sua implementação.

Former African Union Ambassador to the U.S., HE Ambassador Dr. Arikana Chihombori-QuaoMD, FAAFP, has strongly criticized USAID's role in Africa, arguing that its initiatives and programmes have mostly served external interests rather than fostering genuine African progress.

In the interview she claims that USAID - US Agency for International Development has little to show for its decades of involvement in African education and healthcare, stating that the organization frequently destabilized countries under the guise of environmental, human rights, or social justice agendas.

She calls the withdrawal of USAID from Africa a wake-up call for African leaders to adopt an "Africa First" approach, asserting that the continent should stop relying on foreign aid and prioritize its own development strategies.

We couldn't agree more. Africa doesn’t need foreign aid that prolongs dependency—it needs self-determined growth and real sovereignty.
