Feliciano Gundana era um líder de exemplos. Sua liderança jamais se impôs pela força, mas pela consistência, pela ética e pela fé inabalável na dignidade do homem. Sempre acreditou em um Moçambique mais justo, mais inclusivo e mais solidário, em que o desenvolvimento fosse compartilhado por todos, e em que todo cidadão tivesse lugar, voz e esperança.

Desta obra, f**a perpetuado o seu espírito crítico, o seu compromisso com a responsabilidade cívica, bem como o seu engajamento com a construção de uma Nação mais justa. A sua história reviverá, para sempre, a emenda das gerações a servir com integridade, coragem e espírito de justiça social a Nação.

Cada um dos textos que aqui se encontram vestiu a memória de um homem honesto, sábio e que levou profundamente a sério o seu dever para com o amanhã de Moçambique.

O seu pensamento continuará a educar, a inspirar e a conduzir gerações, reafirmando que, de facto, os verdadeiros heróis nunca morrem: permanecem sempre na História, permanecem sempre nas consciências colectivas e permanecem sempre no seio do seu Povo.

Que o legado do Herói Nacional Feliciano Gundana continue a iluminar os caminhos da nossa Pátria Amada.

In representation of Elevate, I am honoured to attend the 10th Annual Mozambique Gas and Energy Summit & Exhibition from 22-24 September in Maputo, Mozambique.
It is encouraging to see prominent companies advancing Mozambique’s energy future, including African giant Aiteo Group, ExxonMobil Mozambique, Eni, Sasol, Mozambique LNG, Standard Bank Moçambique, Saipem, Schneider Electric, Technip, among others.

Beyond the insights and discussions, this summit serves as a a reminder that PEOPLE are at the heart of every project and innovation.

50 Years of HCB

Today, Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) marked its 50th anniversary with a historic conference where the president of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, government representatives, the most signif**ant stakeholders, private sector partners, and industry leaders were present.

Today, fifty years of excellence, resilience, and strategic value in the energy sector — not only for Mozambique but also for the entire Southern African region — were commemorated.

Being one of Africa’s largest hydroelectric power producers, HCB has consistently been at the forefront of driving socioeconomic development, energy security, and integration. The conference was both a celebration of the company’s success and a positive look to the future in terms of future sustainable energy, technological innovation, and human capital development.

The deliberations on energy transition, sustainable mining, critical minerals, and regional integration were not only timely but also ultra. It was heartening to see so much focus on industrialization that is inclusive, innovative, and vision-driven and the critical role SME’s have in shaping this new era of transformation.

On 26 February, I had the honor of participating in the press conference for the 10th edition of the Mozambique Energy & Gas Summit & Exhibition.

The Mozambique Gas & Energy Summit & Exhibition isn’t just about energy—it’s about people.
A major point of interest during the press conference was the unveiling of a new collaboration between dmg events and Field Ready, an organization focused on improving youth employability through STEM education and skill-building initiatives. This partnership seeks to incorporate the Generation Ready meeting into the summit, offering a venue for qualified Mozambican youth to engage with prospective employers and placing them at the leading edge of opportunities within the energy sector.
In sum, the press briefing highlighted Mozambique’s dedication to enhancing its energy sector by fostering collaboration, encouraging innovation, and nurturing local talent.
