In the forum sharing, Dr. Mohd Faizal explained the concept of 'open innovation' as well as provided some tips and guidelines on how to make use of commercialization in innovation efforts.
Meanwhile, Mr. Khairul Hakimin elaborated on the role of the MPC as a facilitator by highlighting the culture of innovation in the government sector and providing space to be explored and improved through the concept of the ‘quadruple helix’.
He also mentioned that the collaboration between industries, government agencies, academia and society is still wide open.
On the other hand, Dr. Saadi shared his experience as a doctoral student. At that time, he participated in various innovation expos to highlight the results of his doctoral research.
This is one of the strategies which can be used to mobilize innovation results to relevant industries. The forum ended with a question and answer session.
This webinar was able to attract nearly 70 participants from various backgrounds. This included SQS lecturers, UUM staff and alumni as well as UUM students.
It is hoped that all the participants were able to open their eyes to innovation and also gain some useful knowledge on innovation in the open industrial world.
