A little bit of info about this knife. It is a 7" bull nose butcher knife, made by Ontario Knife Company under the Old Hickory line. It has 1075 carbon steel blade and hardwood handle.

The dull appearance of the blade except its' shiny edge is due to a process called forced patina; a process whereby acid is applied to the blade and the reaction forms a protective layer to prevent the blade from rusting.
