Rabbits can get ringworm, a fungal infection, just like other mammals. Rabbits are more prone to getting infections with Trichophyton mentagrophytes, but can also get Microsporum canis infections. This is the ringworm most often seen in cats and dogs.
Because of the thin skin of rabbits, some fungal creams may cause some abrasive burning. So we prefer to use colloidal silver!

Indeed another GOOD start to the morning when cases like these looked kinda positive whence the patient has started to eat on its own particularly a Holland Lop that was suspected having gut stasis particularly not eating and stools smaller than usual.
With twice daily of BeneBac probiotics and herbal Digyton, so far so good!

Grooming fur is indeed very, very important not only for cats and dogs but for long haired rabbits and guinea pigs too and even the shorthaired ones, particularly in the tropics where there will be general daily hair shedding with once or twice heavy moulting every 6-12 months.
If the hair/fur gets matted close to the skin, this is indeed very painful, and can lead to serious skin infections, abrasions and urine burns etc.
Regular brushing (and also depending on the animal, regular sanitary shaves may be necessary) can be a crucial way to promote wellness and thus ensuring a general healthy pet.
