We often hear when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. At FirstSeed, we aim not only to make lemonade but we use them to make lemon-infused drinks, lemon pie, lemon pancake, baked lemon chicken, and more. Creatively, you can mix some salt with lemon for some kitchen cleaning hacks!

After 12 years in school leadership and 9 years supporting his children through competitive sports, our co-founder KG noticed a recurring pattern. We are raising brilliant students who are excellent at following instructions, but often feel lost the moment those instructions stop.
There is a widening gap between āgetting the gradeā and being ready for the real world.
The Shift: From Protector to Coach
KG realized that children donāt need their parents to solve every problem, they need the resilience to solve those problems themselves. He made the personal shift from being a āProtectorā to a āCoach,ā and the results spoke for themselves at home:
He watched his son move from the discipline of competitive fencing into a career coaching others as a personal trainer.
He saw his daughter transition from an introvert student to a confident, independent professional guide.
They didnāt just find careers; they built the emotional stamina to lead their own lives.
This is why KG facilitates program that provides the "life readiness" that a traditional classroom isn't designed to handle.
By letting kids "sell for real," giving them a safe space to face rejection, handle money, and find their own voice. It replaces simulations with actual stakes so they can build the "guts" to thrive in their next chapter.
The mission is to help parents move from being a "Controller" to a "Partner." Letās ensure that when your child steps into the world, they have the confidence and grit to be the founder of their own future.
Want to help your child bridge the gap? Join KG for the upcoming Parent Seminar on March 28 to explore a different path for growth.

Three sessions.
Seventy young kidpreneurs.
Two hours per round.
One shared goal: turn imagination into impact.
We just wrapped the preliminary phase of the Gamuda Land: Big Dreams, Young Minds program and these kids showed up with fire.
Some arrived with polished ideas and sharp concepts.
Others walked in with nothing but curiosity and courage.
Both mattered because entrepreneurship begins with taking the first bold step.
Across three high-energy sessions, we pushed them to think deeper, refine their ideas, pivot when needed, and turn vague thoughts into structured, meaningful solutions.
Then came the hard part. The judging.
Shortlisting from seventy submissions wasnāt easy.
There were heated debates, long pauses, and plenty of āthis kid has somethingā moments. But after hours of scrutiny and honest evaluation, we finally landed on 25+1 semifinalists whose ideas showed promise and purpose.
Gamuda Land will announce the semifinalists this Friday on their official social pages. Stay tuned...
Semifinals next.

"Our past does not define usāit fuels us."
At FirstSeed, this belief is more than just an affirmation. Itās a principle we live by in every learning journey we co-create with students, families, and educators alike.
Through our coaching programs and parent partnerships, weāre reminded every day that transformation doesnāt come from having a perfect record. It comes from understanding our story, making sense of our experiences, and trusting that every chapter has something to teach us.
This is why we embed Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) into everything we doānot as an add-on, but as a foundation.
SEL helps children develop the tools to:
Understand and manage their emotions
Make responsible decisions
Build meaningful relationships
Grow from setbacks
But just as importantly, SEL is for adults, too.
We work with parents, coaches, and facilitators who are learning to lead with self-awareness, model emotional intelligence, and stay curiousāeven in the face of uncertainty.
We donāt expect perfection. What we value is presenceāthe willingness to reflect, to grow, and to walk alongside young people not just as instructors, but as co-learners.
Weāre guided by this question:
How do we build a culture where emotional growth and academic growth go hand in hand?
If you're a parent, educator, or learning leader looking to raise resilient, emotionally aware, and purpose-driven young people, let's connect.
We believe that when we embrace our full story, we unlock our full potential.
From the desk of our co-founder:
As parents, we often think of 21-year-olds as still "figuring life out." But what if I told you that I recently heard of two young entrepreneurs who are already making bold moves?
š” One is a real estate negotiator on his way to getting his broker licenseāAND he co-owns a photo studio with his girlfriend.
š” Another, an ACCA holder, is not just looking for a job but creating jobsāhiring top students from his college to work with him.
These are not outliers. More and more young adults are stepping into the world of entrepreneurship, taking charge of their careers before even turning 25.
As a kidpreneur coach, I often ask parents:
š Are we raising our kids to be just job seekers, or are we nurturing their ability to think like problem-solvers and business owners?
š Are we allowing them to explore, take risks, and fail forwardāor are we holding them back with our own fears?
The world is changing fast. What we once thought was ātoo soonā is now the perfect time.
Would you support your child in starting a business at 21? Or even earlier? Letās talk. š
As we slither into the Year of the Snake, may this be a year of wisdom, agility, and transformation! Just like the snake sheds its old skin to grow, may you embrace new opportunities, adapt to challenges, and emerge stronger than ever.
To our young entrepreneursāstay sharp, think fast, and strike with confidence when opportunities arise. Keep learning, keep evolving, and trust in your own brilliance! To our incredible familiesāthank you for nurturing and supporting the next generation of changemakers. Your guidance is the light that helps them navigate their journey.
Letās make this a year of bold moves, new beginnings, and unstoppable success!
Gong Xi Fa Cai! Wishing you a prosperous and exciting Year of the Snake! š§§šāØ
2024 Year of Growth, Connection, and Impact
As we reflect on this past year, our hearts are full of gratitude for the opportunities, connections, and milestones that have shaped FirstSeedās journey. Hereās a look at some moments that made 2024 unforgettable:
Empowering Young Minds
This year, we deepened our purpose through collaborations with Magnify Learning Hub , we designed a holiday program that wasnāt just fun but gave children the chance to explore new perspectives and solutions.
Discover Hidden Talents
We also hosted a Personality Workshop with Pamela Chew from ēå½č±å Life Garden , where children learned to embrace their unique strengths while parents understand how to connect with them.
Expanding Our Reach
Our facilitators had the privilege of working with schools across different communitiesā Fairview International School , Tree Top International School The Surin International School and SJKC Kuen Cheng 1 - å¤ęåęå°å¦ ļ¼äøļ¼ę ” . Each school brought a unique flavor to the experience through our CCA and academic program, reminding us that every childās journey is different yet equally inspiring.
Spreading Joy Through Creativity
Partnering with Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur for Easter and Christmas workshops allowed the Kidpreneurs to facilitate sessions and create magical moments for the children and their families. These seemingly simple experiences plant seeds of confidence that grow over time.
Championing Kidpreneurs
One-on-one coaching became the heart of our work this year, as we guided young entrepreneurs on their journeys. From ideation to pitching, these kids pushed boundaries, faced their fears, and earned recognition for their hard work.
Pitching for Change
Our founder also took bold steps this year by pitching to Women in Entrepreneurship (WIE), showcasing how our programs empower children and youth through entrepreneurship. Standing alongside other changemakers reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders while amplifying the importance of purpose-driven education.
Thank You for Believing in Us
None of this would have been possible without the trust of parents, the enthusiasm of our kidpreneurs, and the unwavering support of our partners.
As we step into 2025, we carry forward the lessons and love from this year, ready to continue empowering the next generation of changemakers.
From all of us at FirstSeed, thank you for being part of this incredible journey.
