About Sabah Shell Livewire

The Shell LiveWIRE program was established in 1982 in the UK by Royal Dutch Shell to offer free workshops and funding to young entrepreneurs with the objective of tackling the issue of unemployment. This is a programme that currently runs in 17 different countries across the world.

In Malaysia, the Shell LiveWIRE program is focused at growing entrepreneurs from the communities of Sabah and Sarawak. Since 2015, Shell Malaysia, with the help of their delivery partners, has organised its annual LiveWIRE program in Sabah, initally only in Kota Kinabalu. As of 2018, the programme will have its’ Bright Ideas workshop in Keningau and Penampang, to accompany the current offerings in Kota Kinabalu.

As a LiveWIRE winner, entrepreneurs will receive a RM10,000.00 grant for the benefit of their respective businesses. Winners also receive three years worth of coaching from the program’s incubation partners and will have the potential to be included in the Shell Malaysia value chain.

Through the Shell LiveWIRE program, we hope to seek out innovative business ideas that hold the potential of changing the world around us. We do this by supporting visionary entrepreneurs in their ambitions, turning their entrepreneurial dreams into a reality, leaving a lasting positive legacy in Sabah.
