Genap setahun pada 21 Ogos 2016, DYMM Sultan Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar menyelam ke dasar laut Pulau Mensirip berdekatan Mersing, Johor bagi merasmikan Peti Pos Dasar Laut DiRaja pertama di Malaysia dan meletakkan logo Sultan Johor sempena Kembara Jelajah Pulau Mersing 2016.
Acara itu turut tersenarai di dalam Malaysia Book of Records sebagai Peti Pos Dasar Laut Diraja yang pertama dipasang di negara ini.
Baginda turut berkenan mengirimkan poskad kalis air yang dialamatkan ke Istana Bukit Serene di Johor Bahru. Di poskad berkenaan tertulis, “Dear Aleh (HRH Raja Zarith Sofiah), me, Iman (HH Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj) & Boo Boo (HH Tunku Abu Bakar) saying Hello to you at 35-meters underwater...Missing you. Love, Yem (Tuanku Sultan Ibrahim).

LOOKING BACK
Exactly a year ago on 21 August 2016, HRH Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar dived nine meters into the waters off Pulau Mensirip near Mersing to launch Malaysia’s first underwater Royal post box in conjunction with ‘Kembara Jelajah Pulau Mersing 2016.
The feat was recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the first installation of a Royal post box under water anywhere in the country.
His Majesty also dropped water-proofed postcards in the post box addressed to Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Bahru, with the words: “Dear Aleh (HRH Raja Zarith Sofiah), me, Iman (HH Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj) & Boo Boo (HH Tunku Abu Bakar) saying Hello to you at 35-meters underwater...Missing you.
