A new record was set this week on our Red Ape Trail tour at Batang Ai - 15 orangutan sightings.

A rare, pale-coloured turtle hatched at Tanjung Datu National Park this week. Baby green turtles are usually dark grey. But this one was much lighter. It had normally coloured eyes. It might have a condition called leucism, a genetic abnormality which results in reduced pigmentation. Video by BA guide Nicker.

The camping huts at Tanjung Datu National Park in Sarawak are fully booked for August. We have 2 places left on our 3D2N Tanjung Datu tours departing on 13 and 23 August.
Accommodation at Bako National Park is full for August. We have a few places left on our Bako 2D1N tours. 5 Aug (2 places), 23 Aug (2 places), 26 Aug (2 places) & 28 Aug (4 places). We also have a 3D2N Bako tour departing on 4 Aug with 2 places left.
