Nutritionally, Dubia roaches are at the top of the list. In this video I share the differences between gold dubia vs normal dubia roaches. I share the difference between freshly molted dubia roaches and true gold colored roaches from babies to full mature adults. There is such thing as gold dubia roaches. We have been line breeding them since 2007 when we discovered a few yellow/gold dubia roaches in our colony. It took Josie King and I many years to selectively breed them. Now we have many generations of gold dubia that we separated into different grades to improve on their color quality. We have achieved gold dubia that maintained their gold color pigment throughout their lives and produce only gold dubia babies.
So when you hear someone claimed that there is no such thing as yellow/gold dubia, don't be misled by false information. It is a common mistake by amateur breeders to confuse freshly molted white dubias to dubia with true gold pigments.
Over these years, most of the dubia roaches we sold to our customers have gold genetics in them. Sometimes we included some free gold dubia for our customers. So, make sure you check yours and if you're adventurous like us, feel free to try breeding your own. If you need any help, don't be shy to ask us.
