Pangieh is a Bidayuh word for Ladies Necklace and Ranee is referring as Queen in Sanskrit
Pangieh Ranee specialized in handmade and handcrafted by local #Bidayuh born beads artist: Lucille Awen Jon. A traditional Bidayuh Pangieh is usually worn by Bidayuh ladies during festive season, which comprises of beautiful colours of glass beads, 5-11 strands and finish

WIPO GA SE- 3 indigenous women entrepreneurs from Women entrepreneurs program - Local Community and Indigenous People (2019 & 2021) ; Ana of Georgia, Solveig of Norway, and Lucille of Malaysia.
I'm proud to wear my traditional-look costume inspired by Pimakai Sino Borih. Black and red without any decoration, Pangiah Juli, silver belt, black skirt. Missing is my sipiah/headgear and sombon.

It was such an honour and privilege to be invited by WIPO and the Traditional Knowledge Division, and presenting our story on the approach we took in Pungu Borneo to help our bidayuh crafts Community during the struggle of pandemic.
Thank you WIPO DG, Mr Daren Tang from Singapore for sharing his great concern on Indigenous people's issues on TK/TCEs. This is just the beginning, and more for to come and to accomplish.
