That’s where Metaphoric Cards come in 🃏✨ Also known as therapeutic cards, these tools are used in therapy and self-reflection to gently explore emotions, thoughts, and personal experiences in a creative way.

Through images, symbols, and storytelling, each card encourages deeper insight, reflection, and conversation. What you notice in a card may mirror your own emotions, memories, hopes, or inner thoughts.

There’s no right or wrong interpretation—only your unique story, and sometimes a single image is enough to help you understand yourself a little better. 🤍✨

Guided by licensed counsellor, Evelyn Lim Chen Chen, this programme offers a meaningful yet relaxed space for self-discovery, clarity, and personal growth.

On 8 May 2026 (Friday), our audiologist and counsellor, Dr Lim Re Gal, had the honour of speaking at the World Hearing Day Seminar 2026 at Sarawak General Hospital. In line with this year’s theme, “From Communities to Classrooms: Hearing Care for Every Child,” Dr Lim presented her talk titled “Beyond the Ear: The Psychosocial Landscape of Childhood Hearing Loss and Their Family Journey,” which explored the emotional, social, and familial experiences associated with childhood hearing loss.

The seminar also highlighted key aspects of hearing care, including clinical management, psychosocial and family support, as well as education, all of which are essential to improving outcomes for children with hearing loss. 💙👂

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Otolaryngology Department of SGH and all the participants for their contributions toward advancing hearing care for every child.
