β¨ The Brooke Dockyard Industrial Heritage Museum β¨
was officially opened by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on April 20.
Originally established in 1912, it was the first shipyard in both Malaya and Borneo. Over the years, it evolved from servicing vessels during the Brooke era to supporting ship repair, oil and gas, and engineering training.
Now transformed into a museum, it features various galleries, original machinery, and a replica of the βHis Highness Yacht (HHY) Zahora,β offering a glimpse into Sarawakβs rich industrial heritage.
