And a BIG SHOUT OUT TO .kl !
See everyone in the next one!
Next year .kl boleh cari me and to interview orang dengan pensil.
Good sport this layan juga saya. Haha
We are sorry!
...that so many of you wanted to have our food when we sold out! But we truely feel loved and appreciate all those who came to support and chill with us at last weekend! Thank you .kl 2026 !
🚨 PIE PSA 🚨
Due to logistics, travel, and us trying very hard not to serve sad soggy toppings, the Terung Dayak pies at KL will have a little less terung dayak on top this round 🫣
BUT — rest assured, we compensated like true Sarawakians and packed DOUBLE the terung asam goodness into the filling itself. More punch, more tang, more “eh this slaps.”
Because what makes a warrior is not his shield and sumpit… but the fire burning inside. 🔥
So maybe less pretty on the outside… but emotionally, spiritually, and internally more terung asam than ever before. 🔥
MENU DROP 🚨
GYPSY BADGER at .kl presents…
🥧 TERUNG DAYAK PIES
The glow-up nobody saw coming.
🌠SLOPPY JOSIEP
Say it in Iban… or Uncle Joseph starts karaoke.
🌯 POPIAH PANSUH
Created alongside our good friends .makan —
the eccentric cousin of the popiah family.
Compact. Intense. Familiar.
Sarawak flavours. Questionable decisions. Good times.
After years and years of requests, persuasion, emotional blackmail, and relentless badgering… Chef Achang of GYPSY BADGER is finally bringing the madness to West Malaysia! 🌚🔥
With the love, support, and constant “when are you coming to KL ah?” from everyone around us, we’re packing up our signature creations and heading to Kuala Lumpur for this year’s .kl at Central Market (Pasar Seni)!
To all our Sarawakian geng in Semenanjung — we’re coming for you.
And to all our westside brothers and sisters — come taste some innovative Sarawakian yum yums before we disappear back home again.
Expect weird ideas, familiar flavours, smoke, spice, probably some gula apong, and definitely food that makes your brain go “eh??? Nyaman juak.”

Daging masak itam manis
to Gawai 2025. Bakeh Cookhouse at ! Run by Gypsy Badger, powered by Gypsy Dango. Experimenting on new ideas, pushing boundaries respectfully and bringing the past and the future together.
We tried to squeeze everything we did this year into one video. Turns out… there was just way too much.
So instead of a highlight reel, this is an appreciation post.
For the work, the chaos, the learning curves, the long nights, the many hiccups — and the people who stayed through all of it (yes, especially the bad parts).
2025 was a lot. But we made it through.
And that’s worth celebrating.
Huge love to our core players:
— for leading the charge and holding the Gypsy Badger spirit steady
— the man quietly behind all the good things
— for sticking it out, always
The Badger Brigade — hurrah!

And to everyone else — if you worked with us, supported us, followed our journey from afar, showed up to an event, bought a ticket, shared a post, sent encouragement, or simply believed in what we were building — this includes you.
*Please tag yourselves* and each other in the comments.
Even if you were “just” an attendee or supporter — you were part of the journey, and you matter to us 🤍
Thank you for being part of Gypsy Badger in 2025.
We survived. Hurrah!
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and a bigger, brighter, more blessed 2026 ✨
