Happy Sunday everyone, the mid-semester break is almost over and that means, we will get to sell your favorite morning breakfast buns again. 😁

One of our signature snack, Popiah Balado Chips contains balado powder.

Here are some fun facts about Balado:

- It originates from West Sumatra, Indonesia.

- Made from egg, chicken, meat, or seafood in hot and spicy spice mixture with red chili peppers.

- Usually cooked with fried prawns, squid, fish, chicken, fried boiled eggs, fried beef, eggplant or potatoes.

- Often used interchangeably with sambal. The ingredients are the similar but they have different tastes.

- A popular dangdut song called Sambalado (sung by Ayu Tingting) was inspired by balado.
