Compliance Audit: Supporting the Mandatory CDP for REMs

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), through the Process Systems Engineering Centre (PROSPECT), has successfully concluded a compliance audit conducted by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).

This audit is a critical milestone for UTM a Registered Training Institution (RTI). Under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024, it is now mandatory for all Registered Energy Managers (REM) to complete a specific number of CDP hours to renew their practicing certificates.

By passing this compliance session, we ensure that our CDP programs remain fully accredited and aligned with the latest regulatory standards set by the Commission.

Audit Details:

Venue: Process Systems Engineering Centre (PROSPECT), Block N29, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, UTM, UTM Johor Bahru

Date: 27 April 2026

We would like to thank the auditors from the Certification & Registration Section (CRS), ST for their professionalism and guidance.

This successful audit reinforces our commitment to providing top-tier, compliant training for energy professionals across Malaysia. We look forward to supporting our REMs in fulfilling their mandatory requirements and driving the nation's energy efficiency agenda!
