We are blessed to be ranked at No.66 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 — our fourth consecutive year in the list, and our fifth appearance over the past six years.

It's always an honour for our little bar to be listed amongst our amazing peers from across Asia, and we never take it for granted. Thank you, The World’s 50 Best Bars, for always showing love to Penang, and thank you to every guest, tourist, regular, and friend who have visited this cocktail canteen of ours over the past 10 years.

It's been two months since our cocktail love letter to Penang, "The Backdoor Bodega Guide To Penang" was named the winner of the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award as part of The World's 50 Best Bars 2025 ceremony in Hong Kong, making Backdoor Bodega the first bar from Asia to receive this amazing accolade.

It means the world to us and we cannot describe what an honour it is to have this opportunity to put our beloved city in the global spotlight.
