A person I love once told me that I should write down my emotions to process them better. So I wrote all over the place. I feel OK now. Need to write more, I think.

I’ve been commissioned for a project at this resort for the whole of November. And as i was reminded, it was also ’s anniversary month. So I just had to add the bunny into the list.. Thanks to for approving other than cats/dogs for this one 😆🙏

Construction is inspired from resident artist ’s installation, right beside mine. His structure is a series of triangles, connected to each other to form an igloo shape. Based on that same system, I used the triangles to form a super low-res poly mesh of the rabbit’s silhouette, acting as the ‘bones’. Then I wrap the whole bunny up with wooden planks for skin.

The white bunny prevailed, and the secrets will go on. It’s been 15 years of fu***ng around, and finding art. And I wouldn’t want to live it any other way. 🤘

Used batik elements with a contemporary touch, which subtly reflects the influence of graffiti in this design. Also bold colours, to make it stand out in contrast against the serene and calm earth-toned space.

I rarely use this many colours in my artwork, so the challenge was balancing the harmony between the main floral elements, the corporate blue background, and the real plants decorating the counter and other parts of the interior.

“BELAJAR HIDUP KEMBALI”
For graffiti event
In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

This area used to be some sort of red light district, infamous for illegal stuff. (At the time) it has gone through some positive changes, and this event was supposed to further revitalise the area by using graffiti and street art to remove the stigma from this location. Shout out to for making it happen, and gave us all an experience to remember.

However, exactly where we were doing our mural, some runners were still seen peddling drugs, like literally while we were painting. they hide they’re stuff around the area we were painting. So i left this message for them.

Interestingly on the last day (typical me, still adding on my piece) one of them approached me and asked me what i wrote. He said he could only figure out the first word. After I explained it to him, I could see him zone out for a good few seconds, staring straight through that painting. He didn’t say much, just nodded and left.

But this painting is also a general reminder for everyone too, especially for me at the time. I’m not sure how it will affect people, but I really do hope it’s in a good way.
