Been awhile since my last post.
My question: Why are humans so cruel?
5th October 2023
My journey with My Dog Is My Therapist started at 9pm to Sungai Ara to rescue this dog with a huge big and juicy maggot wound who sought refuge and shelter from a residential home.
The moment we arrived and stepped foot out of the car, we were greeted with a low and menacing growl asking us to back off!
Music to my ears cos the more the kiddo asks me to back off the more determined I am to rescue.
So, we tango-ed with this dog and finally got him after a much "harrowing" experience of him every-ready to rip chunks of flesh off us.
Off he went to Windsor, leaving Sungai Ara around 11 pm ish and making it to Windsor Animal Hospital Penang
We were both high with adrenaline from the rescue. There was no way I was leaving the house without the dog because I knew he would snap at the house owners at any time and they have a little girl who would be at a higher risk.
Can't blame Asston for being an Ass-Hole 😅 he was in immense pain and I bet after being cornered and attacked, he has 0 trust in anyone. Oh, yeah and high chance dumped as he has a collar on. Not only betrayed by humans, he is also betrayed by his fellow canine buddies.
We finally got to leave Windsor around 1 am ish.
Asston really really really hates me 🤣 like my voice gives him every reason to show his 100 watt smile brighter then the sun 🌞
As long as you are safe and in no danger to yourself or your surroundings I am at peace to have rescued you.

Dog owners in Penang, for your attention
MBPP: No tags for dogs in high-rise homes but it’s okay
GEORGE TOWN, Jan 27 : Dogs living in high-rise homes will not be issued tags by the city council.
Penang’s by-laws forbid their owners from getting dog licences if they live in flats, apartments and condominiums as they are not allowed to rear dogs there.
City councillor Connie Tan said the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) was aware that many high-rise homeowners keep dogs nonetheless.
“We do not interfere in this or enforce the law as long as their management committees are okay with it.
We are not harsh about it nor do we do enforcement rounds into strata properties to check.
“However, we do not give out licences to dogs living in strata properties. Dog owners must show proof of a landed property by submitting a utility bill when applying for a licence,” she said at MBPP’s Veterinary Unit in River Road.
When applying for licences, dog owners may show officers a soft copy of the photo of themselves and their pets if they are unable to print the image.
Tan, who is the MBPP stray and abandoned dogs sub-committee chairman, said MBPP would not catch stray dogs unless there were complaints.
“It does not matter if the dog has a tag or not, the council will catch the dog if it is found roaming around after we receive complaints.
“If the dog has a tag, we look for the owner and inform them that we have their dog.
“If the dog does not have a tag, we keep the dog for three days for it to be claimed.
“If unclaimed within those three days, we follow our standard operating procedure, which is to trap, neuter and release.”
Under by-laws enacted in 1977, it is compulsory for dog owners to have licences.
Tan said veterinary officers would go house-to-house regularly to advise dog owners to obtain licences for their pets.
These visits are done on weekends and public holidays.
“We find that this has made a difference as the number of applicants has increased.
“In 2021, the number of dog licences issued was 1,309 and last year, it increased to 2,309.”
MBPP also has booths in various locations for dog owners to get licences on the spot.
“We hope to see more dog owners get their licences. As of Jan 16, there have been 387 applications,” she said.
Tan called on dog owners to ensure that their dogs were vaccinated against disease and also to neuter them to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
She urged the public to work with MBPP’s Veterinary Unit to make sure their dogs had licences.
“Sometimes people think our officers are scammers when we contact them to come collect the licence if they have applied online. We’re just informing them the tag is ready for pick-up.”
Online dog licence applications can be made at elesen.mbpp.gov.my

Your so called JOY.
Another pain and suffering.

Choose to make a difference.
♡ Please make sure your dogs/cats are safety caged/tied or kept in a safe enclosure before the strike of 12 tonight
It is not cruel to cage or tie them vs having them run away and get killed by vehicles or lost.
♡ DO NOT LEAVE THEM HOME ALONE
♡ Make sure they have some identification on them ie: collar/tag
Animals struggle to make sense of firework noises as they are not only extremely loud but also unpredictable. They associate such noises with danger, and all their instincts tell them to run to a place of safety. And to animals, the flashes of light produced by fireworks seem just as threatening as the noises.

This gorgeous young man, BLACKIE is up for adoption.
He is small size estimated 15kg
Neutered
Vaccination and he is SPECIAL.
HE IS A TRIPOD.
He lost his back leg to infection after her got bitten by another dog.
It was a big misunderstanding as Blackie is super duper friendly kiddo and he approached a not so friendly dog who took his friendliness the wrong way.
Blackie is gorgeous and he will do well even in a high rise home.
With a suitable harness he can be walked and take out like any other four legged dog.
To meet Blackie, kindly contact
