A week in the life of our squad at BeBOTS! There’s always something to learn, to experience and to work on… focusing on skills and making things happen.

Our booth at the Sri KDU Neurodiversity Week event. Was quite well attended by curious young minds and parents/teachers as well! Helping in our own way to spread awareness.

For special needs families, we are very much a team, facing challenges together, celebrating each other’s simple victories. One thing we may not have expected and therefore not prepared for - is one of the team leaving us far too soon. Those of us who are journeying together now need to face the huge loss of a bright, cheerful young man who has taught us all so much. The pain of the family and his remarkable mum is and will be immeasurable. His absence - a concept startlingly difficult to explain to his teammates. We will allow ourselves time to grasp the emptiness, to grieve and to make sense of the promise that was so cruelly cut short. Then, we pick ourselves up and carry on. The adventure goes on. Rest in peace Jet, and please look out for all of us.

This year’s theme for the World Autism Awareness Day is “Autism and Humanity - Every Life Has Value”. We are so committed and invested in making this a reality.
