Recognition of prior Learning
The college recognises Australian qualification framework (AQF) qualifications and statements of attainments issued by any other registered training organisations (RTO) that are applicable to the given program. The college provides a RPL application form detailing the required types of information required by applicants wishing to utilise this process.
Policies and Procedures
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure all college policies are clearly understood, these policies and proce-dures are provided in detail in the student handbook and if any student requires any further clarification you are welcome to contact the college administration staff.
Attendance
• A minimum of 80% attendance at lectures is recommended for the successful completion of a unit of study.
• Students are required to attend lectures each week at the scheduled times according to their ac-ceptance notice.
• 100% attendance at workshop or practicals
Assessment
• Assessment for each unit of study is compulsory
• Students are required to complete all assessments in accordance to the assessment outline for each unit of study.
• Where a final examination is indicated students are required to attend according to the published ex-amination timetable.
• If the student is deferring the examination must provide the relevant information.(e.g, Medical certif-icate or other document)
• Deferred examination attracts an extra fee and must be attended at the rescheduled time.
• Results will be withheld until full payment is made for any monies outstanding.
Appeals or Grievances
• Appeals against grades must be made in writing to student services officer within 14 days of grades being posted (see student handbook for detail)
• Grievances regarding academic matters are to be made using the procedure detailed in the students Handbook which is available from the College administration, library and website.
Student records
• Students name and address details are held in the confidential College database.
• Student must advise the College administration in writing of any changes to their name and address details using the official form.
Language Literacy and Numeracy
All students have the option to be assessed in order to ascertain if their Literacy and Numeracy skills are suffi-cient to successfully undertake the training programme. This is usually via interview or completion of an exer-cise contained in the proposed training programme.
Visa Procedures
You will require a student visa if you are an overseas student. Further information regarding visas can be ob-tained from the Australian Embassy, Consulate General or an Education Agent in your country. If you are already in Australia you may be able to apply to change your visa on-shore, please contact DIAC for further information. www.immi.gov.au

Living Cost
Living cost per year in Australia is $18,000 for the main applicant, $6,300 for your

Public Transport

Brisbane's ferries are a useful way of getting across the city and its river precincts. Ferries are the best way to get to the college campus.

Entry Requirements:
Our Programs have entry requirements although we do offer applicant a chance to start with, no previous in-dustry experience. To be eligible for enrolment in any of the courses offered by Queensland College of Tech-nology applicant needs to fulfil following prerequisites:
1. Complete and pass high school to grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Secure an IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Unless revised by DIAC, for International overseas student)
3. Cert IV has additional entry requirement that is the applicant should have successfully passed and completed Certificate III in Automotive Technology - AUR30405 or equivalent.
At Queensland College of Technology we want the students to achieve their goals, whether a beginner wishing to enter in Automotive Industry or an advanced student with some definite career goals. Given below is a brief outline and introduction about the courses and their professional outcome.
Learning environment, delivery and facilitation for automotive courses:
The College has classroom areas where theory sessions will be conducted. Most of the study would be done online with the help of the projector and computer. Every student will be provided with an online login to the course material. The college is equipped with computers so that students can study after hours as well. Recog-nition of prior learning is available; Institute can organize volunteering work experience for individuals if re-quired .Automotive Industry tours will be organized over the period of time.

This course is designed as a pathway to advance study in automotive industry. The Course provides students with the skills necessary to work in the automotive industry. Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology - AUR30405 – 68 weeks
This course is designed as a qualification for a person to provide general assistance with multiple au-tomotive services within a mechanical workshop. Students will learn a range of functions that will assist them to work effectively under direct supervision, as a team member within an automotive workshop. Skills gained on completion of certificate III cover, communication, customer service, safe work practices and developing Automotive Industry knowledge. The course has a strong emphasis on tech-nical and working in a team environment.
