The best way to understand how warm and cool colours have a psychological effect on our emotions is to visualize the colours used in interior design.

The following advice is actually about submitting items for printing.

1) Resolution: 300 dpi is the normal printing resolution. Pictures that are lower than that will be hazy.

2) Brightness: To prevent darker outputs, you can set your brightness in brightness/contrast to 15%–20% because print lacks the luminosity found in a digital medium. In photographs when the predominant colour scheme is dark, you can also set your shadow in shadow/highlights to 15%–20%.

3) File format: PNG files are less compressed than JPEG and PDF files, so we prefer them, additionally, in RGB mode. We will make every effort to match your RGB file with the print.

4) Bleed: Always remember to add bleed. The typical bleed radius around the actual size of your image is 0.125 inches. This is to guarantee that your prints are correctly trimmed.
