Deepavali is also known as Diwali and Diwali is a festival celebrated by all Hindus around the world and is a holiday in Malaysia. The word Deepavali is a combination of the word 'Dipa' which means light and the word "Gavali" which means line. The Deepavali festival is celebrated on the 14th day of the month of Aipasi in the Tamil calendar between October and November.
