Here's one to Ek Balam, Mayan ruins that used to be the center of culture and literature! The stucco is so well perserved because it was underground until the late 80s.

After the workout of climbing the pyramid in the hot sun, a refreshing dip in a cenote was a real treat.

It was a fantastic day, and we even visited the colourful colonial city of Valladolid. 🩷

El zacate (un tipo especial de hierba) necesita cambiarse cada 8 o 9 años, ¡pero tiene muchos beneficios!

Como nos cuenta Sara Luna, la directora de Meztli, es:

-Crea un microclima fresco, manteniendo la palapa principal ventilada y agradable. ¡No se necesita aire acondicionado en Meztli!

The zacate (a special type of grass) needs to be changed every 8 to 9 years, but there's many benefits!
