Bacalar is a Magical Town located in the southern part of the state of Quintana Roo, on the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. It is located about 40 km north of Chetumal (the state capital) and near the border with Belize, and is famous for the Lagoon of Seven Colors, a 55 km long body of water. 🪄🪄

A Maya ceremony is a sacred ritual practiced by the Maya people to communicate with the spiritual world, express gratitude, and maintain cosmic balance in love 🤍

Here are the key elements of these ceremonies:

The Purpose: They are usually performed to ask for guidance, give thanks for harvests, or seek healing and protection.

The Altar: Ceremonies typically take place around a circular altar on the ground, representing the Earth and the four cardinal directions.

Offerings: Participants use symbolic materials such as pom (incense), colored candles, honey, chocolate, flowers, and fruit.

Connection to Nature: The smoke from the fire is believed to carry prayers up to the “Heart of the Sky” and the “Heart of the Earth.” ✨✨
