At the 2026 Trade and Cargo Security Summit, CBP delivered a direct message:
âIf you canât trace every link in your supply chain back to the raw material, your cargo may be detained and your company could become the next enforcement case.â
What this means for logistics:
* Knowing your direct supplier is no longer enough. CBP is looking for visibility across Tier 2, Tier 3, and beyond.
* More information may be required, including identification of all parties involved, foreign export documentation, and deeper supply chain traceability.
* CBPâs analytics and AI are helping identify patterns involving transshipment, forced labor, and evasion before cargo reaches the port.

The challenge wasn't just transporting the cargo. First, we had to get it out.
These industrial tanks were built inside a workshop located on a narrow street with no wide exit. With limited maneuvering space and tanks measuring up to 26 feet long and weighing more than 9 tons, every movement required careful planning.
Our team coordinated precision crane operations, controlled access for the transport unit, permits, signage, and traffic es**rt to safely execute the extraction and transportation.
