The International Foundation for Nature and Sustainability (FINS) is a nonprofit, science-based organization dedicated to the conservation of marine and freshwater wildlife. FINS brings together an international team of scientists working hand-in-hand with local and Indigenous communities to generate knowledge, build capacity, and implement effective, inclusive conservation strategies.

Save the Manatee Club was fundamental in launching and sustaining the Pompeyo manatee rehabilitation project, providing technical and financial support to ensure proper care and long-term planning for reintegration into the wild. SMC's help was crucial, as Mexico currently lacks a national program for manatee rehabilitation.
