Brunch date with my girls again! This red dress has probably been the best dress I have ever bought at target. And it also works great when you and your bestie wears the exact same dress without planning ahead of time!

Have you tried mixing ethnic pieces with non-ethnic outfits? I have dabbled a bit on casual end but never ventured to do so on formal occasions. For a friend’s baby shower, decided to pair my Indian Jhumkis with maxi skirt and a blouse.

Hi there! I have been seeing a lot of new faces lately so wanted to say hi to all!

My name is Amie (uh-me). I was born and raised till almost all of high school in India and been living in US since last 15+ years. I married my first love right out of college and have a sweet 3 year old toddler girl, .shah

I am also an IT professional, photographer and someone that loves colors! Once I had my daughter, my focus has changed a bit in life. I have also been sharing a bit about my every day life as I learn things about life and motherhood, about the challenges and nuances of being an immigrant, a women of color and someone that comes from a very small town. I am extremely passionate about building a better space for our girls to grow up in and carry that same passion and enthusiasm at work as well!

I started inbetweencloset originally in 2016 since I never saw a lot of women with curves represented in fashion. It was always the 2 extremes but majority of the women are actually in the “in between” sizes. I have always enjoyed putting togather simple combinations which I refer to as .

Through Inbetween closet, the message I try to get across is that you don’t have to have a “model” body to be beautiful. You are empowered to feel beautiful and can use style and clothing as a tool to get that confidence. As long as you can learn to love yourself and be yourself through your style, that’s all it takes to feel beautiful!

I hope you feel inspired to be able to add a bit more of “yourself” in your everyday styles. The world really needs more confident, strong, empowered and gorgeous women like us! Thank you for stopping by!

What’s the 1 new thing you started doing since we all are under lockdown? Any new hobbies you picked up that you would like to share?

I always had love for painting but never imagined painting an entire wall! We painted 1 wall in every room a different color but this wall felt it was missing something. That’s when I started looking at wallpaper and came across wall stencil instead! We wanted our current home to not only reflect our personalities but also have personal touches.

When I first started with the project, I was amazed at how relaxing it was for me! This particular wall took about 7 hours (could have been less if I was able to paint outside 10 PM and 3 AM - Thanks to my 3.5 year old enthusiast artist) although this isn’t the 1st wall I painted in 2020. The stencil is from Stencil lab and was of great quality! Loved the end result!
