Hoy es cumpleaños de un gran miembro alguien muy importante para la banda otro miembro más, ya que hemos recibido su apoyo en incontables ocasiones mas su experiencia en la escena del rock con el rei al último y Caifanes & Jaguares Maldita Vecindad y Los Hijos del 5º Patio y las que faltan ya sea con equipo o simplemente en apoyarnos con un lugar para ensayar.
También tuvimos la fortuna de grabar las voces de nuestro álbum Atrabilis en su estudio llamado Wattstudio.

Atrabilis is the debut album by Fear Catalyst, a band from Aguascalientes, Mexico, known for their devastating, modern melodic death metal. Their musical approach revolves around personal themes, whether mental health issues, introspection, existentialism, depression, or anguish, embracing a synergy in the corporeal expression of the melodic sound of death metal and bringing it to life in a visceral way.

This material shows this off, with mind-blowing passages of pure sonic aggression but taking it hand in hand with well-planned melodic parts in the structural body of their songs, molding it to their own style and executing a Death Metal that powerfully erodes the feelings printed in each musical note that come out of the instruments involved, rhythmic guitars in time with the melodies, a bass with a defined presence, a drum that attacks in a violent way but at the same time knows how to carry out the transitions between the melodic fragments and, let's say, the guttural ones that are conjugated between the two sides of that type of voice, the heartbreaking and the guttural. Musically speaking, Atrabilis is an album that sounds very good in its production, this being the first studio album that the band composed, with a quality in accordance with the genre of music they play, stuck but also beautiful in its melodies.

Fear Catalyst worked hard to achieve their long-held desire to compose their own music and capture it on a full-length album, with ups and downs along the way, but with one main objective in mind: to be part of their country's metal scene. I have no hesitation in saying that this album was the first breath of fresh air for the guys in this band, considering their upcoming album and whatever else lies ahead in their promising future.

I sincerely hope to hear their next album soon and see how they've evolved over all this time. Even when the days are sometimes gray, the sun also rises to light everyone's path. I'll just say this: Mexican metal is a powerhouse in the world, and Fear Catalyst is one of the bands aiming to be part of it. So go and listen to Atrabilis; you won't regret it.
