The first Malawian to become a Sakharov Fellow happens to be one of us — a MAREFU at heart.
This achievement not only brings pride to Mangochi but also reflects the values of grassroots leadership, and community transformation that we hold dear.
Congratulations to one of our admins on this well-deserved recognition and for flying the Malawian flag high.

Nthanzi Porridge Flour is one of the social enterprise initiatives we are providing visibility for in collaboration with Kulima Kwambone. Through this initiative, we are documenting and sharing the stories of the Chisomo Group, a community-based group made up of persons with disabilities.
The group received training and capacity-building support in soya processing and production, equipping its members with practical skills to produce nutritious porridge flour and create sustainable livelihood opportunities. As part of our commitment to inclusive economic empowerment, we are working alongside the group to increase their visibility, promote their products, and connect them to wider markets and potential partners.

Yes, the news is true...!
We are rolling out "Meat & Connect" — a meet-and-business-oriented platform designed to create meaningful connections between youths and stakeholders in the food industry.
Themed "Zinyama Nyama," the initiative will create an innovative, youth-led marketplace that promotes networking, financial literacy, nutrition well-being, and content creation aligned with Malawi 2063.
Through Meat & Connect, we aim to create marketing opportunities that empower young people, strengthen networks within the food ecosystem, and drive sustainable growth and innovation.
📍 The activity will take place in Mangochi at a venue to be announced soon.
📌 Stay tuned for updates.

After undergoing intensive training in soya production, the branding process has finally been completed. We are excited to introduce Thanzi Porridge Flour, now available at only MK4,000 per 1kg.
The ADORE team is currently orienting and empowering other vulnerable groups on business branding, with a special focus on digital marketing. These activities are designed to strengthen visibility, connect groups with potential customers, and create opportunities for increased sales and sustainable profits.

In partnership with the Kulima Kwambone Project and Chisomo Community-Based Organization, we are pleased to announce the scaling up and digital promotion of a small-scale agricultural enterprise known as the Thanzi Porridge Flour Initiative.
The initiative aims to add value to various indigenous crops cultivated under the Kulima Kwambone Project through the production of nutritious porridge flour and soya-based products, while also Amplifying the voice of vulnerable groups through content creation and digital storytelling.
The collaboration seeks to enhance the visibility of small-scale enterprises through digital content, community engagement, and strategic branding.
As part of the initiative, we will expand market opportunities within and beyond the communities of Mangochi.
Over the past month, the initiative has capacitated more than 15 persons living with disabilities in the production of porridge flour and digital storytelling to highlight their stories on skills, resilience, and other possibilities encompassing sustainable livelihoods.

Please excuse us—this is the only decent photo we have of our photographer/videographer, Mr. Kanema, who also serves as our Creative Director (the one showing his back in the green “Kulima Project” T-shirt).
As we celebrate Labour Day, we honor the silent workers—the ones who contribute so much, yet often remain faint or behind in the picture. Yet we already know how powerful videographers are… one small disrespect, and you’re cropped out.
Happy Labour Day to all youth-serving entities doing big, meaningful work behind the scenes—from videographers and content creators to graphic designers.
We also extend our appreciation to organizations like AIDS Healthcare Foundation , for recognizing and engaging emerging talents like us..

Assigned by Kulima Kwambone Project, we’re leading a youth-driven baseline survey documenting indigenous knowledge and innovation.
Youth-led research is key to generating evidence-based solutions that strengthen project implementation and place community voices at the center of meaningful change—aligned with the youth-centric vision of Malawi Agenda 2063.
