Health Equity Access

Countries with inadequate human resources for health, particularly in Africa, can make a huge impact on the health of their citizens through investing in effective, safe and user friendly digital health initiatives. Digital health can bridge the gap between a patient and their needed health worker.

These developments threaten to undermine years of effort on improving maternal and child health. If a woman cannot afford the fees, she goes to a traditional birth attendant, or opts to deliver at home. That has been proven over and over to worsen maternal and child outcomes. Policymakers need to help us move away from such counterproductive policies. We need policies that will improve health seeking behaviour, not worsen barriers to accessing needed health services.

At Health Equity Africa (HEA) our slogan is "Until No One Is Underserved". Today we celebrate the relationship between our slogan and ine this year's ; " ". We believe that no individual or community anywhere on earth should fail to access needed health services. That is why today we renew our pledge to work towards improving access to health services among the underserved.
