Today is .
And we, at Truss, want to take a moment to thank our Earth for the bounty it has bestowed upon us. We, quite literally, owe our lives and livelihoods to the earth and the natural resources it gives us. The natural environment provide us with food, air, energy, and so much more...
Join us in giving thanks by taking simple steps - like the ones listed below - to become more eco-friendly in your daily lives, and not just today. Show your appreciation for our Mother Earth!

This , we‘re choosing to celebrate all the women out there who are committed to preserving our natural !
We spoke to Gloria Majiga-Kamoto, 2019 YALI-MWF Alumni, current Canon Collins Scholar studying for an LLM (Environmental Law), and Programmer Manager Centre for Environmental Policy and Advocacy about why working to preserve the ecosystem is so important to her! See what she has to say:
*What's the best part of being a woman environmental activist?*
Women are the most vulnerable to environmental degradation and climate shocks. Being part of the conversation on something that directly affects me and fellow women means that I can influence decisions and contribute to shaping policy on natural resource management.
*What led you to become an advocate for the environment and why do you think it is important for more women to be a part of environmental advocacy and activism?*
My passion is to make policy processes inclusive and reflective of the people they serve. Living in the Anthropocene age, where we have reached planetary boundaries, the world desperately needs leaders who can make the right choices and radicle decisions that set us on a new course of development and undo the inequalities the world seems to fail to move away from. Women need to be represented now more than ever, and we have to take up our position to be the leadership the world needs today. The future of the planet depends on us.
Let us know your thoughts! Happy International Women’s Day to all the women out there!
