There are certain events that call the world's attention, like the Olympics, for instance. These events present opportunities for us to spread hope, not in earthly victories, but in a better life with Jesus.
In 1972, the Olympics returned to Germany for the first time after Word War II. During the war, the Reform Movement had been banned and members imprisoned. But after the N**i regime fell, the church revived and took the opportunity afforded by the Olympics to share the Gospel they had been willing to die for.
This summer, the World Cup will attract the attention of many. Millions will travel to watch the games in-person across North America. The GC Publications Department has prepared a special leaflet that can be shared at this time. Its contents inspire reflection on where we find our identity. To order copies for your church, visit reformationheraldbookstore.com (or click the link in our profile).
Take this opportunity. Share the Gospel that has changed your life, and let's look beyond this world's losses and victories.
