President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has inaugurated the new artificial beach developed in the west side of Male’ City named “Rasfannu’’ at a special ceremony held on 7th February 2016.
The President was accompanied by the First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Cabinet Ministers, members of the parliament and Senior officials from the Government.

International Youth Day (IYD) is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. The first IYD was observed on 12 August, 2000.
Maldives Independence Day Date: July 26 1965
The island came under the Protectorate of British in 1887. The island and the British agreed on an agreement in which the British agreed that they will not interfere in the internal matter of the island but where the foreign exchange was considered then British are to be involved. In return to this the British assured the island for its protection and security from the colonial invasion. And finally on July 26 Maldives got its Independence and today we celebrate our 50th ..
